I use the popular website building system WordPress. It’s the most popular CMS (content management system) on the planet. It’s core is solid and secure, and lightning fast. It’s also search engine friendly. What’s more, there are a lot of people that are familiar with it. So, it’s easy to find help.

And, you can move your WordPress website around. Let’s say you start with GoDaddy, and come to your senses and realize there’s a better place to host your WordPress website, you can easily move it to someplace better, such as SiteGround or InMotion.

Custom Themes

Some website builders/designers in Fort Collins like to build custom themes for their clients. (a theme is what gives your website it’s look. e.g. colors, fonts, etc.) I don’t like to do that because if you want to make changes to it, it often costs a lot. Versus with a theme builder, it’s often very quick and easy to make changes to your WordPress website. There are several WordPress theme builders around. Most are heavy, in that they weigh your website down causing them to load slowly. Sure, there are Content Delivery Networks (CDN) that speed-up a website, but why start with a heavy website? Why not build it sleek, trim, and fast from the start? Such light-weight theme builders include WordPress’ own, Beaver Builder, and Generate Press, to name a few. I find WordPress’ own themes often meet my client’s needs. It’s free and easy to use.
