Website Building

I used WordPress to build websites for my clients. WordPress is a free website building software whose core is secure and solid. What’s more, it’s lightweight and fast. These are important factors when it comes to search engine optimization and being search engine friendly. Search engines favor those websites that are fast, optimized, and easy to read and navigate on mobile devices.

WordPress has come a long way since its initial creation 20 years ago. Until recently, building a website in WordPress required a third-party theme or costly custom theme development to make your website look attractive. Think of a ‘theme’ as the color scheme on your house.

Although third-party themes are still an option, it’s my experience that it’s no longer required for most small to medium-sized websites. I’ve built websites using WordPress for small, 1-man businesses to large businesses with multiple employees and multiple locations in Colorado.

Graphics

I offer graphic design services to the Fort Collins, Colorado, and surrounding communities. Those design services include, but are not limited to, logo design, business card design, postcard design, website graphics, info-graphics, and much more. In fact, graphic design is what I have my degree in.

To accompany the website I build for you, I also offer professional portraits. Whether you need just a head shot of yourself or of your entire team, I can help. I often shoot outside at a local part, but I’ve also taken portraits inside client’s offices, conference rooms, or inside public places such as the Opera Galleria in Old Town Fort Collins.

Writing

Most of my clients don’t have time to write copy or service descriptions for their website. Some businesses don’t have time to write text for their pages, copy for their products or services, blog posts, etc. And, make no mistake, it’s important to have writing on your website. After all, that’s what search engines use to find you. As a matter of fact, I’ve written 99% of the text on Bob Behrends Roofing’s website.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search engine optimization is a bit of an art or craft. There’s a lot involved to it. Some aspects of it have a big impact, while others have a small impact but are still important and have an effect on your ranking in search engines. I’ve helped some businesses in Fort Collins with all their SEO starting with the hierarchy of their website to user engagement time on pages. I’ve also helped the little shops in town with a la carte SEO, because not every business has a big budget.
